Privacy Policy

DocWallet AI · Effective date: June 6, 2026 · Last updated: June 6, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Darshita Gajera ("we", "our", or "us") handles information when you use the DocWallet AI mobile application ("the App") on iOS. We have designed the App to keep your scanned documents private — virtually all document processing happens on your device.

The short version: Your scanned documents, OCR text, and AI results never leave your iPhone. The only data shared with third parties is anonymous information used to display advertisements (which you can decline via Apple's Tracking permission prompt) and Apple's standard subscription receipts when you make a purchase.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information stored on your device only

The following stay on your iPhone and are never transmitted to us or any third party:

1.2 Information collected by third-party services

The App integrates the following third-party services that may collect data:

Service Purpose Data collected
Google AdMob Display advertisements Advertising identifier (IDFA, with your permission only), IP address, approximate location derived from IP, device model, OS version, language, ad interaction events.
RevenueCat Manage in-app subscriptions (when enabled) Anonymous user identifier, Apple transaction receipts, subscription status, purchase history.
Firebase Realtime Database Fetch advertising configuration IP address only (used to download a public configuration file). No personal data is sent.

1.3 Camera access

The App requests camera access to scan documents. Captured images are processed locally and saved only to the App's private sandbox on your device. We do not upload, share, or analyze your photos on any external server.

2. How We Use Information

3. App Tracking Transparency (iOS)

The first time the App is about to load an advertisement, iOS will display Apple's standard tracking-permission prompt. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track":

4. Third-Party Privacy Policies

The services we use have their own privacy policies that apply to data they collect:

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Because your documents are stored only on your device, you can delete them at any time from within the App. Uninstalling the App permanently removes all documents, OCR text, and AI outputs from your device. We do not keep any backup on our servers because we do not receive your documents in the first place.

Third-party services (AdMob, RevenueCat) retain data according to their own policies linked above. To exercise deletion rights with those services, contact them directly using the links provided.

6. Children's Privacy

DocWallet AI is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can remove it.

7. Your Privacy Rights

7.1 If you are in the European Economic Area (GDPR)

You have the right to:

7.2 If you are in California (CCPA / CPRA)

You have the right to:

You can opt out of advertising tracking by declining the App Tracking Transparency prompt or by changing your selection in iOS Settings as described in Section 3.

7.3 Exercising your rights

To exercise any of these rights, email us at dishagajera8@gmail.com. We respond to verifiable requests within 30 days.

8. Security

We rely on Apple's iOS security model. Your documents are stored in the App's sandbox, which is isolated from other apps and protected by the device passcode / Face ID / Touch ID. Network requests use HTTPS (TLS). Because we do not store your documents on any server, there is no server-side breach risk for your scans.

9. International Data Transfers

The third-party services we use (Google, Apple, RevenueCat) operate globally and may process limited data (IP address, device identifiers) outside your country of residence. They use standard contractual clauses and other safeguards required by applicable law.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. The "Effective date" at the top of the page will reflect the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated in the App or in its App Store update notes.
